Kwiatkowski wins in Berlin
The 5th WASPA tournament played with the old rules was held on saturday, June 1 in Berlin (Germany) with 12 players taking part, including Jeremy Bradley and Phil Holmes from England. The tournament was very open and the system of 2 groups of 6 players allowd everyone to have many games. Finally the final was between Marcel Kwiatkowski and Rainer Vogt. Despite much more experience, Vogt couldn't beat his much younger opponent. The two english players reached the semis while Alwin Krause won the consolation tournament to take the 9th place. It was good also to see FISTF Finance Director Fred Vulpes taking part in the tournament, proving WASPA and FISTF can have a constructive relationship. Well done!
