WASPA monthly report of April 2021

Dear Subbuteo fans, hope all is well for you and your families.

You will find in the attached files the updated WASPA rankings and results (PDF file) after we collected results from Australia, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Greece and England.

The Western Flickers in Australia played their first tournament of the season in April

8 regional tournaments have been played in April but also 7 tournaments with the old rule sand 5 "WASPA lockdown test matches".

You will see there are not many big changes but there is a revolution in the individual ranking as Alekos Apatzis from Greece is the new number 1.

Alan Lee is still the season leader but we have now 3 Australians in the top 5, which proves Australia is the country where Subbuteo lives while most european nations are still waiting for the green light from local authorities to organize tournaments.

Test-match Ceulemans-Lambert in Antwerp, Belgium

Greece is also the new leader in the ranking of nations.

As you probably know, we will celebrate the 10 years of the WASPA circuit in a couple of days. Your ideas to make something special are still more than welcome. If you know what should be done to celebrate this important anniversary, your feedback is more than welcome. We expect to publish a big story on the blog on May 10.

We also take to opportunity to thank our partners:

The very active Terni players in Italy have reached their limit of 12 tournaments played with the old rules

Well, that's all for now. Please remember you only need 3 players to register your tournament. Don't be scared to join. It's free and tournament requests can be sent by e-mail to vincent.cop@rsca.com
