Kent Invicta had busy afternoon on Sunday hosting a WASPA 7 player tournament for the adults with guest players in attendance but more importantly a development WASPA event with five U12s taking part as new flicker Evan plus Yorkshire’s Jacob joining the action along with Hadley, Joel & Izaak. With Terry and Kye coaching the youth players, training tips and techniques were shared to keep the coaching going through the matches. With lots of activity going on across the tables it was a busy session ⚽️ !
The adults played a 7 player division with Rob Fitch taking the win with Martin Hodds in 2nd and Chris Shilling in 3rd. Tom (4) Dave (5), James (6) & Daryl (7) made up the other placings.
The youth tournament gave some exciting games that really showed the improvement game on game, especially from the new more inexperienced players who all played with a smile and a complete engagement for the game. In the end, a final between Hadley and Joel ended up with clinical smash ‘n’ grab 1-0 win for Joel 💪🏻⚽️🏆
The session finished with a 5v5 team event which went to sudden death after everything was level in normal time giving an exciting end to the afternoon!
The next sessions will be scheduled for April, dates TBC👍🏻⚽️🏆
