Andrea Strazza wins his first WASPA tournament

On March 5th, the Table Soccer Club Black Rose ’98 Roma (www.blackrose98roma.com and www.blackrose98roma.blogspot.it)  organized the “Round 10” of the “W.A.S.P.A. Black League” at the “Black Rose Training Center” located in Fiumicino (Rome), Via delle Lampare 5.

It was a very nice evening tournament with 18 players attended for the third 2014 tournament. They were representative of two Italian Subbuteo associations (T.S.C. Black Rose ’98 Roma and S.C. Fiamme Azzurre) all ready to defy the invincible Enrico Guidi.

The T.S.C. Black Rose ’98 Roma decided to organize a tournament under the Swiss system so all players could play five games. At the end of the fifth round Andrea Strazza have collected 13 points (thanks to a goal 10 seconds before the end of the match against Andrea Capelli and to a penalty only 2 minutes before the end of the match against Gabriele Silveri). At the second place we find Andrea Capelli at 10 points. For the third place it was necessary to calculate the value opponents and the bronze medal was for Enrico Guidi (9 points and value opponents 45). The 4th place was for Luigi Barone (9 points and value opponents 40), followed by Gabriele Silveri (9 points and  value opponents 40).

The WASPA tournament in Fiumicino have registered a surprice: Andrea Strazza has won his first WASPA tournament even if the “invincible subbuteo machine”, Enrico Guidi, don’t lose any match. In the months to come we will see if there is something new in Fiumicino.

Once a month T.S.C. Black Rose ’98 Roma will organize other W.A.S.P.A. tournaments looking at the different needs (materials and rules) of F.I.S.T.F. and Subbuteo players.
