A second WASPA title for Chessray Jooste

Saturday 22 March 2014, Pretoria, South Africa : The Pretoria Flickers Club staged it's 2nd event for the year, namely the "Founders Cup". This event will become an annual feature on the PFC calendar as it marked the celebration of PFC's 1st year in existence (PFC was founded on 24 March 2013).

The matches produced low scoring results as players adopted cautious approaches, ensuring very tightly contested matches. In the last match-up Jayden (0) v (2) Chessray, the result turned out to be very significant, as a win for the 2013 Champion, Jayden, would see him (Jayden) succesfully defend his Founders Cup title ! However, the win for Chessray ensured that he equalled the table topping Julianon 5 points to force the event into a 1st Place Play-off final ! After normal time & extra time, Chessray triumphed 4-3 on shots over Julian.

Congratulations to Chessray for winning your 2nd WASPA title !!! Elsewhere, a very good 2nd place to Julian as he ended the day as the only undefeated player, and the only player not to concede a goal on the day !!
