The Flaming Flickers organized their monthly WASPA tournament on friday with a big field of 20 players. There were four juniors and Vasilis Panagiotides beat Nikos Tsagaris in the final to win the title.
In the open section, 16 players were taking part and as always everyone had to play three games. Giannis Metaxas was the only player to win three games. Therefore he wins the tournament while Giannis Paschalides is second and Panos Panagiotides is third. Congratulations to Giannis Metaxas for his 4th victory in a WASPA regional tournament.
Besides the tournament, some Flaming Flickers players attended "by surprise" a demo in a toys shop in Athens on saturday. The exhibition was organized by the distributor of the new subbuteo sets in greece, and promotion was made in particular to show the new "5-a-side" game. Well done to everyone involved.
