The Lisbon Cup for Sérgio Ramos
The "Lisbon Cup" (Taça de Lisboa) took place last saturday with 24 players taking part in two categories. 19 players competed in the Open section with some very high level games in the knock-out stage. In the end, Sérgio Ramos beat Ruben Português to win the title (2-0) while Nuno Noronha and Bruno Valente were the semi-finalists. Ricardo José won the consolation tournament while João Nunes was the U15 champion. Congratulations to the Lisbon players for such great tournaments. The Lisbon area has hosted four WASPA tournaments since the beginning of the season with an average of more than 20 players per event. Well done.
