Once again, we are receiving results from several WASPA events held in many different countries. This time, we are pleased to share news from Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa, and England.
Belgium: action in Antwerp and Néchin
The SC Flanders players enjoyed a special day last weekend by organizing a “World Cup tournament” with 14 participants. There were visitors from the Netherlands, as well as four players making their WASPA debut — fantastic news!
Our Dutch friend Marco de Bruin recorded the results and published the rankings of the day. Yves Peremans took top honours, while Gary Moore from Ireland finished runner-up.

In Néchin, the latest Templeuve United night marked the final gathering of the season. The club experienced a challenging year with low attendance, and it was decided to take a longer break until September.
After a group stage of five players (from five different clubs), Matthias Averlant won the final. There was also positive media exposure, as a local TV crew came to interview Matthias following his impressive victory at the FISTF Open of Wrexham (Wales) last month.

The Netherlands: Rinaldo van Dijk shines
The latest club night in Gouda was another success for the Dutch Legends group, with eight players enjoying a great evening of games. Rinaldo van Dijk defeated legend Martijn Bom in the final to take the win.

South Africa: ETS tournament
Gary Downs shared the results of the latest ETS Subbuteo Club tournament. Nine players were divided into two groups followed by closely contested knockout matches. Ian Clarke confirmed his status as one of the country’s top players by defeating Gary Downs in the final.

Australia: double events in Perth
Perth was the center of attention for Australian Subbuteo last week.
First, Sports TFC of Western Australia held a small gathering of three players, with Hugh Best taking the win.

Two days later, Subbuteo Perth hosted a second event with six players. This time, Alan Kimber came out on top.

Earlier this week, Finchampstead SC hosted a World Cup-themed WASPA during their club night. Six members represented different national teams, playing a round-robin format followed by a final and third-place match.

In South Devon, the club held another successful monthly WASPA evening. Congratulations to Bob Fairbrother, who once again claimed victory. It was a night full of goals — proving that Subbuteo can be far more exciting than real-life football at times!
