Great promotion of the game in Paington

WASPA tournament in Paignton, Devon

(Report by Terry Arnold)

Kent Invicta held some Subbuteo sessions for 3 days to keep some of the boys occupied whilst their sisters were competing at the National Baton Twirling Championships. The first 2 days were for practicing and learning the game then finishing off with a WASPA tournament on the Thursday. Many Thanks must go to Tony McCann of Yorkshire Phoenix who lives locally and lent us the table and also donated some teams to the new players. After a fun tournament with some close games, it was Kent Invicta’s Kye Arnold who won the final 2-0 over his ‘old-man’ Terry with Louis Singh and Kieran Dominque the losing semi-finalists. Hopefully the new players who tried the game for the first time will be back playing again soon as we try to grow the game!
