WASPA rankings of November 2025 + help needed

Dear Subbuteo friends,

the WASPA rankings of November 2025 are now available.

Results file in PDF format

Rankings and statistics in Excel file

November is usually a quiet period but we have added 22 regional tournaments, 7 old rules events, 2 "Club WASPA" and the National championship with Finnish rules (played in Finland) in the records.

We are happy to see some excitement for rankings even if the priority of the WASPA circuit is to promote the game of Subbuteo table football, to attract new players and to keep local clubs alive as clubs are the key of development for the future of the game. We also insist that all ideas to involve more young players are more than welcome.

As the end of the year is coming quickly, I would love to ask you to contribute to the different WASPA channels. For instance, it is important to keep some pages updated:

-> list of WASPA active clubs: https://waspa-circuit.blogspot.com/p/waspa-top-clubs.html

-> you can follow the WASPA Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/127530464069377

-> you can follow the WASPA Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057361903237

Your feedback to improve the WASPA circuit is more than welcome.

The doors of the WASPA circuit remain open for all players and clubs around the world ;-)

For any question, feel free to send me a message at vincentcoppenolle@gmail.com

Have a great week-end!

Marko Tiikkaja wins Finnish rules championship in Heinola

From times to times we receive news from Finland where the Subbuteo table football scene has several types of tournaments but the events with the Finnish rules remain very popular. Kari Hakkarainen reports the annual Finnish Championship tournament took place this week-end with 17 players taking part, which is the biggest number of entries in the whole 2000s.

The organizing club was TFC Lynx and the tournament was held on Heinola. Marko Tiikkaja from Tampere had a glorious day and won the final against Jani Naapila.

There was also the first ever female player in the tournament, Nina Toiviainen. She learned the rules and flicking on Saturday and on Sunday she took part in the tournament. So, she had the very minimum experience about the game. Very surprisingly she could take a couple of draws. Local players had never seen anything like that before. Normally the beginners are just murdered 10-0 in every game.

In the tournament there was also a man who filmed the games and interviewed some players. There should be some video in youtube about the tournament in the near future.

There were also some people who came just to watch the games and didn’t know so much about the game before. The tournament was held on a workplace restaurant.

Congratulations to the local organizers for keeping the game alive!
