Samuele Bignardi wins promotional event


On Saturday the Rebels Genova had another tournament. This time it was a promotional event for the juniors. Ten players were divided in 2 groups of 5 with finals in the end of the day. Samuele Bignardi defeated Alberto Capoferri in the big final.

Congratulations to the club for the amazing job with the youth. having small tournaments under WASPA banner is for sure a source of motivation for young and novice players!

September 2024: results from tournaments held in England

Once again England has been a great field of activity for the Subbuteo scene and the WASPA circuit in particular in September. The English Subbuteo Association held a fantatsic FISTF world cup and WASPA events have been a great way for players to practive before the WC. It will also be a great tool to continue to attract new players and to gain experience before competing in international level. Here is a brief recap of September results!

Pedmore, Sep 1 2024, groups and knock-out


The tournament attracted an amazing field of 32 players and was a great way to prepare for the FISTF world cup. Elliot Bellefontaine defeated Sam Curtis in the final with both Rudi Peterschinigg and Ian Aggett making it to the semi-finals. Cayne Matthews won the consolation final against Simon McMurray.

Solent, Sep 4 2024

The final standings of the Solent league counted as a WASPA event. After home and away games, Jason Christopher ended as league winner!

27 players from 12 different clubs attended the great tournament held by the Leicester Foxes. Kevin Cordell defeated Bob Varney on shots in the final. Aaron Skinner and Sam Curtis reached the semis and Ian Sharp defeated Connor Gregory in the Plate final. Nigel Edwards won the Shield.

Àlex Araujo wins first tournament in Catalan Country

The players

Spain also had a great WASPA season flick-off on September 29 with 23 players competing in the first tournament of the Catalan Circuit. Mallorca's Fabio Mastroianni and Rafel Blasco de Tàrrega were playing their first WASPA tournament in Montornès del Vallès, home of Barcelona Futbol Taula.
The final

This time Àlex Araujo (AS Iluro Futbol Taula) won the final against Fabio Mastroianni (4-1) and becomes the leader of the circuit. Alfred Laporta and Ferran Coll made it to the semi-finals.

Oriol Quer (picture) defeated Toni Hernández to win the consolation final!

Congratulations to the organizers for a really great tournament! We are really pleased to see such a quality event in the WASPA circuit!

The next tournament counting for the Catalan circuit will be held on December 1 in Breda.

We remain open to all proposals to have more WASPA events (regional or local tournaments) in Spain in the future.

We had 29 regional tournaments, 2 events with the old rules, 2 promotional events and 1 tournament with the Finnish rules!

Latest Tournai event in Belgium

Events have been held in Australia, England, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, France, New Zealand, Greece, Scotland, South Africa, the Netherlands and Wales!

Please note it's the new season so possibly we haven't changed club for those who have been transferred this summer. If you see some mistakes, send me a message.

Note also the juniors are now players born in 2008 or later.

Welcome to Stourbridge Casual Subbuteo Club, the latest organizer in the circuit!

Once a new club has organized 3 WASPA events and has 3 club members involved, it can be part of the ranking of clubs (starting in the Conference League).

Revival day in Cyprus

This Sunday the first stage of the "WASPA Open Tour of Cyprus" was taking place in the Famagusta TFC Center. It was the revival day of the WASPA circuit in Cyprus.


Pano Vogiatzis (Famagusta) came on top of a group of 5 with 3 wins and a draw while George Zangylos (Famagusta) was runner-up and Patros Kosmas (Famagusta) was third. Other involved players were Markos Kalopsidiotis (Salamis) and Marios Nikolaou (Phoenix).
