London Road Subbuteo Club held the Parrot Cup on June 24 and it was good to see a turnout of 14 players from England, Wales and the Isle of Man's Brian Kinrade.There was a group stage, then quarter-finals and more knock-out games till the final while other players were allowed to play the Plate tournament.
Mick Hammonds from the Wolverhampton club defeated Richard Stock in the final to claim the title. Brian Daley and Dan Nicholls were stopped in the semis. Dave Kelly won the Plate tournament.
Congratulations to Cayne and his friends for doig a great work of promotion and for being one of the most active clubs on the WASPA scene. Well done for attracting some old and new faces at tournaments. That's the way to go!
