WASPA records of September 2019

Dear all, you will find here the updated WASPA records after the tournaments held in September.

WASPA Season results 2019-2020
WASPA ranking - September 19

Action in Colorado where players from different States met for a great week-end
We had 34 regional events, 1 promotional tournament and the National Cup in Derry, Northern Ireland. We will add the missing results from Pireas next month.
As this is a new season, there are some changes in the different tables:
- the Season ranking starts from scratch. Brian Daley is the first leader of the season.
- the Junior ranking is now for players born in 2003 or later (instead of 2002). Olliver Ollnow is still the leader.
- the top clubs ranking has a few less clubs as some clubs have been relegated in the "Development league". It is possible for new clubs to require to play in the WASPA top clubs sections (see handbook for details or drop me a line). London Road Subbuteo Club from Wales is the first leader of the ranking.
- the new Development league saw 12 different clubs taking ranking points. The Greek club of Panorama 1978 SC Thessaloniki is the first leader but we will have a wonderful season for sure. Any club organising 3 events and having 5 different players will be included in the Development league.

All-Ireland championship in Derry
As for September, we had some great events taking part.
- the tournament in Bormla (Malta) had a great turnout of 20;
- Australia was very active as always with events in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
- South Africa is doing a great job with events in Pretoria and Cape Town in the records.
- We are happy to see Germany having events organized by three different clubs in Berlin and Hamburg.
- Canada having regular events in Toronto is very positive!
- Greece always have great tournaments with many players.
- Singapore had two events including one for beginners.
- Belgium had only three events this month but with many close games to decide the winners.
- England, Wales and Northern Ireland do a great job also with some new players involved as well.
- We also had some presence in the US (Colorado, California and Virginia), Russia (St. Petersburg), Finland (Helsinki) and Italy (Borgo Vercelli).

Western Flickers tournament in Melbourne (Australia)
For the new season, we are always open to new ideas to see how we can make the circuit more attractive. All suggestions are welcome.

Well, that's all for now. Please remember you only need 3 players to register your tournament. Don't be scared to join. It's free and tournament requests can be sent by e-mail to vincent.cop@rsca.com
