Frank Lannoy on fire

Happy players after a good evening of fair games
Good habits haven't been lost after the New Year celebrations as SC Flanders was back in action on January 4, as every first monday of the month, in the premises of Hofstade-Zemst (Belgium) to play a WASPA tournament. 7 Flemish players and 3 guys from the Province of Hainaut met in Swiss system with several good games played over the evening. In the first session Geoffrey Marain was very motivated to claim his 50th WASPA title but he tied with Frank Lannoy before losing to Jos Ceulemans. Jos was also in a good day, scoring the first official goal of 2016 in the Belgian circuit. In the last session, the decisive game between Ceulemans and Lannoy was decided in the last minutes and this time, Frank Lannoy (SC Temploux) took the honors to win his 4th WASPA tournament. Jos Ceulemans was a logical runner-up and Geoffrey Marain was third. Geert Leys and Vincent Coppenolle ended also in the top 5. Special thanks to Filip Van Hulle for offering a nice bottle of sparkling wine to all the competitors a a New Year gift. In the end, everybody was happy and that's what Subbuteo nights should always be.
Top 3 of the evening: Geoffrey Marain, Frank Lannoy and Jos Ceulemans
