Ouabi Rouis takes the National day tournament


Singapore players successfully completed another WASPA in celebration of their National Day here in Singapore, and organised by the SG Lions Table Football Club. It was a day of tight and close competition which we saw our strongest player Singapore have to offer in Ouabi Rouis taking top honours. The format of play was designed to allow the 11 players who took part, to play as many games as possible. 2 sets of group games were played, with the 1st grouping drawn with everyone in a common pot. After the 1st round of group games, the players are separated into different groups according to their placing they achieved in the 1st round, and play for the different winning levels, of Cup, Plate, Bowl and Spoon. The Spoon play-off were played by 2 of the 4th placed players, over a 2 legged-competition.

In conclusion, the winners are as follows:-

a) Cup Competition:
Winner : Ouabi Rouis
2nd : Rudy Hesty
3rd : Vikas Chandiramani

b) Plate Competition :
Winner : Michael
2nd : Bernard
3rd : Rizal

c) Bowl Competition :
Winner : Fauzi Ghani
2nd : Kok Wee
3rd : Isaac

d) Spoon Play-off :
Winner : Nic Tan
2nd : Luke Lim
