Last Saturday, 12 players from Germany, France, Serbia, Croatia and Italy met in Karlsruhe, Germany for another great tournament organized by Milan Knezevic.
Players were divided into two groups of six players with Hervé Fino and Milan Knezevic winning their respective groups. In the knock-out games, there were several surprises, and in the final, Eric Lienhardt managed to beat Janus Gersie to win his fourth tournament in Karlsruhe. It was nice to see Stefan Panhans reaching the semi-final for his first tournament for many years while the young Mauro Paglia was also playing his first tournament. At the end of the day, every player had played 8 games and everybody was happy to take part in a real long day of Subbuteo table football.
Special thanks to Milan Knezevic for the perfect organization. We are also glad to see some French players taking part in WASPA tournaments.
Semi-finals: Stefan Panhans - Janus Gersie 0-3
Eric Lienhardt - Milan Knezevic 1-0
