In the last "Cup Final" of the day, Chessray Jooste (Juventus) beat Kegan vd Merwe (Real Madrid) by scoring in the last third of the allocated time to register a 1-0 win. Rowin clinched 6th place overall thanks to a 1-0 victory over Conway. Jayden then scored a fierce, tight angled shot to beat Bevin by 1-0 and thereby affording Chessray a massive lifeline. Chessray duly obliged by inflicting Sherwin's only loss of the day by way of a 2-0 result - the result confirming Chessray as 2017 Challenge Cup Champion!
This triumph marks a 10th WASPA title for Chessray Jooste to date!
In the final match up, Julian vd Merwe clinched 2nd place overall by beating Kegan vd Merwe by 1-0 : not a bad showing by the "old timer" as he joined Chessray as the only other unbeaten player on the day !!!
