Players from across the community gathered to celebrate and remember Dave, a huge Batman fan. A specially commissioned trophy featuring Batman on a Subbuteo base was presented to Kevin Cordell, who claimed the main event title with a 1-0 victory over Brandon Lavender in the final.
There were plenty of other winners throughout the day, including Simon Hawley (Plate), Gary Birch (Solent Cup), Connor Gregory (Junior Final), and Michelle Claydon (Ladies Trophy). A special award was also presented to Sarah Christopher in recognition of her outstanding work as Tournament Director.
Most importantly, the event raised an incredible £670 for Meningitis Now, with further donations still to come. A wonderful tribute to Dave and a great demonstration of the spirit of our table football community.
🏆 Monthly WASPA - October 2026
Congratulations to Gary Birch, who claimed his first WASPA title with a perfect record of four wins from four games. He finished ahead of Jason Christopher and Andy McGovern in a strong field.
