December 2023: results from England, Italy, Ireland and Belgium

December is another busy month so here is a quick summary of recent results collected from different tournaments held in England, Italy, Ireland and Belgium.


The latest CHASERS (Chadwell Heath & South Essex, Romford Subbuteo) Club tournament took place last week with 12 players competing in Swiss system and Martin Bellefontaine taking the honors. Final table:

Mario Frittelli winner in Tralee

An enjoyable night of Subbuteo in Tralee. Once again Mario Frittellitook the honours but other players are closing the gap. It's also great to see Silvia giving the game another go. It’s not easy but she’s getting there.

More good games in Leicester

The Leicester foxes club held a tournament (counting as promotional event) with 6 players cometing in league format. Woburn's Ian aggett was on top, winning his 5 games. The club will hold a FISTF Satellite on January 27 (inviduals) and 28 (teams).

Jamieson and Christopher winners in Solent

The Solent club held 2 tournaments in the last few weeks. The November tournament was played in Swiss system and Malcolm Jamieson was on top of the table including 7 players.

The December tournament was held last week. The Solent December Club WASPA ‘The Xmas Cup & Plate’ was originally set for 16 players but Steve Smith withdrew 3 days prior due to a bereavement so we were set for 15 plus one Bye, so we did the draw etc….

Unfortunately, on the night of the tournament, there was a serious road accident which prevented Paul Izard, Tony Martin and Dan Parsons from attending. However, they had started out on their journey’s but were forced to turn back.

Bailey Challinor and Dan Parsons made theis WASPA debut, which is great.

Jason Christopher won the main event while Connor Gregory defeated Kyle Jamieson in the Plate final.

Luca Bignardi winner in Genova

The Rebels Genova held their first "regional" tournament of the season. 14 players were divided into 2 categories. Luca Bignardi was on top of the "gold league" while Davide Balito won the Silver league. It was great this time to have young and older players competing together!

Kaberry winner in Darlington

Patrick de Jong winner once again in Belgium

In Belgium, Patrick de Jong won the latest tournament held in Antwerp. This is the third time Patrick travels from the Netherlands to play in the premises of SC Flanders and this is his third victory. Congratulations!
