WASPA standings of March 2018

Dear friends,
you will find in the attached files the monthly standings of the WASPA circuit after all events held in March.

Well, you will find the details about the circuit in the attached files:
- the season results (PDF);
- the rankings and statistics (Excel).

March has been a very busy day with 38 regional events, 6 promotional tournaments, 1 tournament with old rules and 1 test-match.
The first event in Tucson
We are pleased to have seen the first events run by some new clubs: AS Hennuyer (Belgium), Tucson Subbuteo Soccer Club (USA), Toronto SC (Canada), Illawarra TFC (Australia), Barcelona FT (Spain), Subbuteo Angri (Italy).

We have also seen the first events held this season in Czech Republic and Spain and for the very first time we have a player from Russia in the records.

We are glad to see action in Toronto
There are some big changes in the ranking of "top clubs" as we are pleased to welcome the Lincoln Flickers (England), the Northerns Falcons (Australia) and Sydney TFC (Australia).

The big changes in the rankings is the first version of the Junior rankings. Please note some details:
- the individual ranking is made of players born in 2001 or later. Probably many players are missing so if you have some birthdates to send, it will be more than welcome.
- the club ranking is made of clubs with at least 3 juniors. Probably the list will grow in the near future.

Flickers in Canberra
I want to insist on the fact some FISTF organizers are giving us a lot of support by organizing WASPA tournaments during their events. We have had WASPA games at the Major of Frameries (Belgium), the Grand Prix of Heckmondwike (England), the Open of Barcelona (Spain), the Satellite of Prague (Czech Republic), the Illawara Satellite (Australia), the Singapore Open.

We want to wish good luck to Mike Sgro who is the new president of the Canadian association and who has great goals to make Canada great again on the international Subbuteo scene.

Good turnout of 26 for the WASPA tournament held during the Major of Frameries
Congratulations to Australia and Belgium for running 8 regional events this month in many different locations. This is very impressive.

Great news also as we have a new partner. Flicks for Kicks (http://shop.flickforkicks.com/) will be helping us to promote the WASPA circuit and we really hope we can also help their project to grow.

Once again, thanks to all organizers and players for contributing to make the WASPA circuit great.

The first Russian Subbuteo player in the WASPA ranking competed in Prague
Maybe some results didn't arrive in due time. Do not worry, they will be added next month.

Well, that's all for now. Please remember you only need 3 players to register your tournament. Don't be scared to join. It's free and tournament requests can be sent by e-mail to vincent.cop@rsca.com

Keep an eye on the WASPA blog at http://waspa-circuit.blogspot.com as there are updates almost every day.

Keep in mind WASPA is also looking for partners. If you know any company ready to support us (we don’t ask for money but we want some win-win agreements so that we can promote each other), don't hesitate to contact me at vincent.cop@rsca.com

Ideas to develop the WASPA circuit, to get new clubs/nations involved or to make things more attractive are always welcome. We stay at your disposal for more info.

Yours sincerely,
Vincent Coppenolle
