| London Road SC winner on Sunday |
London Road Subbuteo Club held the "Weekender" tournament last week-end with the individual tournament in Saturday and a team event on Sunday. 15 individuals were taking part with 10 players from the home club, but also 4 from Glasgow and one from Cardiff. Players were divided intou four groups with the top two qualifying for the next round and other players competing in the Plate tournament. Richard Stock took the honors in the end after defeating Martin Blanchard (1-0) in the final. Brian Daley and Tom Burns managed to reach the semi-finals. Cayne Matthews defeated his daughter Ruby in the Plate final.
On Sunday only three team ettended the event and games were played in home and away fixtures. The home team of London Road took the honors with 12 points while Glasgow had 6 and London Road B finished in third position. A great week-end was had by all.
