On January 20, the 1st edition of the "Greek LIVE Subbuteo Cup" took place in the premises of Kallithea, home of the Flaming Flickers. It was organized by "LIVE Subbuteo" with the help of the local club. This tournament was covered with live streaming from the beginning till the end. 32 players from various Greek and international clubs competed in two-leg fixtures. After a live blind draw on the previous day, 16 pairs played each other twice with away goals rule breaking ties. After that stage single elimination was used. The winner was Kostas Sesses of Olympia after penalties in the final against Sotiris Korologos (SC Serenissima Mestre). It was a great event and a great test for more live events to come. Congratulations to the winner Kostas and to all players for the sports spirit and the great games! Special thanks to Yiorgos Karavas for his great idea, the planning of the event and the trophies for the winners.
