Kenny Beggs and Mickey Bradley |
The first ever Derry Open international Tournament took place this week-end in Northern Ireland.
"We had a fantastic event with 24 players from 5 nations taking part. We had coverage on the BBC news and a trophy presentation by Mickey (My Perfect Cousin) Bradley of the Undertones. Spread over 2 days we had an individual event on Saturday 5th May and a team event on Sunday 7th. The Saturday saw an amazing all Ireland final played out between Mark Farrell and Kenny Beggs. An impressive performance from both saw them draw 1-1, with Kenny Beggs taking the win in a sudden death shoot out", reported organizer Martinog Bradley.
